Emerging Schools' Blitz UL

On Tuesday 16th of October we travelled to the University of Limerick to take part in the North Munster Emerging Schools blitz. We had two teams taking part our 1st year boys and our U17s.

Our U17s played three games and were victorious in all three. We played Cashel Community School, St Ailbe’s High School, Tipperary town and St Patrick's Comprehensive school, Shannon. Best for us on the day were, Dylan Murphy, Cathal Ryan, Cathal Delaney, Aaron Sharkey, Jack Keays and Rory Moylan.

Our first year boys were in a very competitive group pitted against St Anne's Killaloe, St Caimin’s Community school, Shannon and Gael Coláiste, Luimnigh. Drawing one and losing out in the other two. Best for us on the day were Mason Cawley, Cillian Ryan and Mickey Morgan.

King Cup 1st Round

Our U16 King Cup team travelled to Cashel to take on Cashel Community school on Friday 19th Oct. We are defending champions of the King Cup and started where we left off last year with a 58 - 5 win. We got off to a great start with 3 tries inside the first 15 min, Two from Paul Seymour and one from John Brislane. Andrew Ferris, Michael Ryan also dotted down in the first half.

Halftime- time substitute Sam Rosney scored two great tries in the corner after hard work from their forwards. Liam Cooney and Tom Kennedy rounded off the tries. Our out half for the day was Adam Steed who converted 5 tries and ran the back line well all day. Thanks to our two coaches, Mr.Thomas Lee and Mr Gary Beresford Miller.


The U19’s take on Tarbert Comprehensive School, Co. Kerry next Tuesday 23rd in Nenagh Ormond rugby club at 12.30, in the first round of the O’Brien Cup, thanks to Nenagh Ormond for the use of their facilities.
