We operate a taster programme for all students in first year. Towards the end of the year students are ask to pick their optional subjects that they wish to follow in second year. Parents are encouraged to be involed in this process and sign off on their sons final choice. When all this information is gathered and processed the option bands are then put in place.

Our pupils are offered the following range of subjects and they are available at Higher, Ordinary or Foundation levels, as appropriate.

All Junior Cert. pupils study these six core subjects:

• Gaeilge
• English
• Mathematics
• Science
• History
• Geography
• CSPE

The following OPTIONAL SUBJECTS are also offered:

• Business Studies
• French
• German
• Music
• Art, Craft and Design
• Materials Technology - Wood
• Technical Graphics

All students do the following non exam subjects

• SPHE
• RE
• PE
