EMBRACE FARM SAFETY TALK

Mr Peter Gohery, has shared his experience of dealing with the serious injury he sustained on his family farm with our students in the past few years. However, this year, Ms Michelle Forde has with the support of an able team decided to take the next step and involve the local community in a fund-raising event for Embrace, the charitable organisation set up by Mr. Gohery to support families who find themselves in similar difficult and often tragic circumstances. TY students with farming backgrounds have taken on the challenge of holding a Tractor Run which they hope will be supported by North Tipperary farmers and the wider community. The hard work is already under way and Mr Paul Butler is also assisting the project by filming the event and creating posters to publicise the work. The team met Mr Gohery on Tuesday and the experience has galvanised all involved in what is looking like the charity event of the school year.
