A huge well done to all our Leaving Cert Class of 2024. Exceptional results for an exceptional group! Everybody did so well.
3 students achieved over 600 points and more than a quarter of all students who sat the exams achieved over 500 points. The majority of LCA students achieved Distinctions. Every student achieved results that were a credit to the effort and hard work they put into their Leaving Cert/Leaving Cert Applied programmes.
Results exceeded many students’ expectations. We are so proud of you all given the challenges that you have faced at times during your school experience. For approximately 80% of the candidates nationwide the Leaving Cert 2024 examinations were the first set of state exams that they sat, as Junior Cycle exams did not take place as a result of the Covid-19 global pandemic in June 2021.
Best of luck with the CAO offers this week. We were delighted to welcome back the students to school for tea and coffee, on Friday morning, 30th of August, from 9.45am to 11am, in the Fr. Alec Reid Room, when we celebrated their success and to chat about what the future might bring.
