Enterprise Awards
Tina Mulhearne, Business Advisor, Local Enterprise Office, North Tipperary, visited the school recently to present the prizes and certs for the successful entries in the recent Enterprise County Final. This was a lovely occasion to celebrate the boys’ success. We would like to thank Tina and the Local enterprise Office in Tipperary for all their support throughout the year and for kindly donating prizes and presenting certs to the boys.
The runners up in the Senior Category were students Michael Kyne, Shane Hogan, (absent from photo Dylan Dorris), assisted by their teacher, Ms. Bríd Gleeson. They developed a hand-made chocolate product through their company, Black Chocolate and were presented with a plaque for their achievements.
The most innovative award went to LMJJ Trays. Liam Grace, Michael Ryan, (absent from photo John Mulvihill) and Jack Harford designed an innovative animal dosing tray which has proven to be remarkably successful and useful on many farms. Their teacher was Ms. Gillian Wallace.
The environmental award was presented to Ecoware. Who are, Joshua Lenihan, Robert Mandrila and Jim Paxman, their teacher was Brid Gleeson. The boys made very impressive eco- friendly plates and bowls which are edible and can be fed to animals.
