Nenagh CBS Parents' Association Fun Run
St. Joseph's CBS Nenagh Parents' Association Annual 5km/10km Fun Run/Walk takes place on this Sunday 26th January. Registration is at 10am and the run begins at 11am. The entry fee is €5 for a child, €10 for an adult and €20 for a family.
Past pupils and Tipperary hurling stars Craig Morgan and Jake Morris will be present to meet and greet participants. Make sure to bring along your Tipp jersey or hurley to get the boys to sign it!
The SPINIs from Spin Southwest Radio will also be present on the morning.
Past pupil Tommy Martin of Total Motivation Fitness is going to put all participants through their paces with a warm up before the Fun Run commences. The Parents' Association will be giving great prizes for the first female, first male, first male juvenile, first female juvenile and first student from the school to cross the finish line in both the 5km and 10km Fun Run categories.
The school is grateful for the support of the following main sponsors; ABP Meats, Carey’s Glass, LIDL store Nenagh and LYONS of LIMERICK and NENAGH, without whom this event could not take place.
The Parent’s Association have funded the upgrading of a room for the Robotics and Coding Clubs and covered the cost of the installation and maintenance of a drinking fountain in the canteen providing excellent quality water for students. This water fountain reduces the dependence on single use plastic bottles and encourages the use of reusable water bottles.
Fund-raising events such as this Fun Run are extremely important to the school, without the hard work of the Parents' Association many worthwhile projects could not take place. The Parents' Association would appreciate your support and it promises to be a great family fun event.
