St. Joseph's CBS Robotics Club compete in VEX Robotics Competition
St. Joseph's CBS Robotics Club worked hard to develop a robot to compete in this year's VEX Robotics competition at Dell in Limerick and they produced an ingenious design. The robot was an excellent model and the group won six out of their seven games, scoring some of the highest scores of the day. They made it through to the semi-final but, unfortunately, did not win the overall competition.
It was still a fantastic achievement. The students were very proud of their success and they look forward to competing again next year.
The Robotics Club consists of the following students: James Shesgreen (TY), Cathal Hogan (TY), Aaron Kenneally (TY), Satsik Setikas (TY), Cathal Morgan (TY), Bartosz Urbanik (5th Year), Bart Borzecki (5th Year), Oren McCormack (5th Year), Oren Pope (First Year), Alexander Mackenzie (First Year), Matthew McKibbin (First Year).
Well done boys and thanks to their mentors Mr. Eoghain O'Keeffe, Mr. Ruadhan Lawlor and Ms. Claire Freeman
