Success at World Irish Dancing Championships.

Bravo to all five of our students who performed very well in the World Irish Dancing Championship in Glasgow over the Easter break.

A special mention for Transition Year student Aaron Delaney who won his third World title in a row! Aaron was crowned World Champion in the U17 category. Fellow TY student Craig Maher also performed well in the category. Both Craig and Aaron, as well as two other dancers, took part in the Senior Mixed 4 Hand Céilí Over 16 category; coming in Fifth place. Aaron and Craig are members of the Callanan MacLoone O'Meara Academy of Irish Dance.

Sixth Year student David Nealon also shone at the Worlds, finishing in Second Place in the U18 Mens category. David dances with Flynn O'Kane Academy of Irish Dance. Well done also to 5th Year student Darragh O'Leary who finished in 14th place in the same category. Darragh dances with Scoil Rince Ui Bhriain. Finally, congratulations also to First Year student Luke Meelam who danced well in the Boys U14 category. Luke also dances with Flynn O'Kane Academy of Irish Dance.
